Season's Greetings from the Ariana Team

 Dear All,

Before the year-end festivities begin, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our season's greetings to you. In particular we would like to thank you for your support of Ariana and our wider team through a challenging 2009. Now that we are approaching 2010, I would like to reflect upon the year that has been, and some plans for the year ahead.

This December the Ariana team attended the annual Mines and Money event in London. It was a busy couple of days and, in comparison, a stark contrast to the sombre sentiments of December 2008. During the event it became clear that those who survived 2009 have done more than tread the difficult economic waters. So much so it was noted by Tom Bulford, from Penny Sleuth/Proactive Investors, that Ariana along with a small handful of other junior explorers are now poised to take 2010 head on.

The year started at pace with news of a large scale processing trial with Eti Gumus on Ariana's Kizitepe prospect. From March through to June, mining and processing was completed at Kiziltepe, with the first gold poured in early July. At the same time, our drilling team were involved with grade control drilling in the trial pit area and some short exploratory holes on new veins at Kiziltepe and Kepez.

In June, Ariana announced the creation of "Red Rabbit" a single integrated project containing Sindirgi and Tavsan. This conceptual packaging of Sindirgi and Tavsan was strategically significant and the coincident completion of trial mining and our first gold pour enabled JV negotiations to begin on Red Rabbit with several interested parties in tandem. The conclusion of these efforts was our MoU with Proccea Construction Co. Securing a partnership with a quality partner, demonstrating the right expertise, has been fundamental to our strategy for the development of this core project. Proccea stood out as our partner of choice due to their extensive global expertise in commercial construction projects including the design, manufacture and commissioning of gold plants, along with their strong desire to become gold miners.

In parallel with the successful development of our European Goldfields JV and our MoU with Proccea we have started a important new programme of exploration in Turkey. The initial focus of this programme has been in the Red Rabbit project area, for which, as outlined at our AGM, we have taken a back-to-basics approach involving our regional geological and remote-sensing database in parallel with plenty of boot-leather. Over the years we have built perhaps one of the most extensive exploration databases available for the country and this is now being reviewed 'from scratch' integrating the very latest geological thinking to aid regional target definition. Already it has highlighted new opportunities which we are actively pursuing. We look forward to releasing updates on these efforts during next year.

At this point, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to both the direct and extended Ariana teams. They have showed tireless and unwavering commitment, enabling us to achieve so much during what has been a demanding year.

I would also like to thank our loyal shareholders for the ongoing support we have received throughout 2009. As part of our commitment to our shareholders I want to ensure it is clear that our door is always open for comments, feedback and project progress enquiries. To that end we have set up a dedicated contact at Ariana who will deal personally with any questions you may have in regard to the work being undertaken by the company. To get in touch with us please email b.kitchin@arianaresources.com

As part of a general drive to reach out to the investor community we arranged a number of shareholder presentations and exhibitions in 2010. We will be updating our website shortly with new additions to these, but in the meantime key events are as follows:

Association of Mining Analysts (27th January), Proactive Investor (TBC February), Minesite (16th March), Master Investor Show (24th April)

Finally, I would like to wish you and your families a happy and prosperous 2010.

Kerim Sener
