Kaan Alpaslan, BSc (Hons)
Senior Geologist

Kaan graduated from Ankara University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geology in 2006. He has worked as exploration geologist with Yildizlar Holding 3S in Turkey and involved on a variety of metalic and base metal exploration programmes. He will be responsible for our project geological team and other exploration programmes in Turkey. He is a member of the Chamber of Geological Engineers of Turkey.

Selim graduated in 2001 with a BSc in Geological Engineering from Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. He is responsible for updating our information systems databases, managing our geographic information systems and drilling data. He is the Company's designated QA/QC officer and has worked with the company since 2006.  He is a member of the Chamber of Geological Engineers of Turkey.

Zack van Coller, BSc (Hons)
Exploration Geologist, aged 24

Zack van Coller graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Exploration and Resource Geology in 2010. Zack has an extensive background of mineralogical research, including work with the National Museum of Wales to analyse trace elements in sphalerite from Mississippi Valley-type lead-zinc deposits. He undertook his Honours mapping project for Ariana Resources in Turkey and, since graduating, has been involved on a variety of exploration programmes. To date he has been involved in grassroots exploration as a consultant for Matrix Exploration Ltd targeting low-sulphidation Au-Ag deposits in Turkey and advanced project development of a high-sulphidation Cu-Au deposit in Macedonia. Zack is bilingual in English and Afrikaans.

Burak graduated from Ankara Hacettepe University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geology in 2010. He works directly with our drilling team and on other exploration programmes. He is a member of the Chamber of Geological Engineers of Turkey.

Tuncay worked for 7 years with Newmont in Turkey as senior field technician. He has worked extensively on gold projects in western, eastern and northeastern (pontides) and is fully trained in field first aid, advanced off-road driving and health and safety (to Australian standards). Other qualifications include certificates in ArcGIS and the MapInfo Professional qualification.

Francis Wedin, BSc (Hons)
Exploration Consultant, aged 26

Francis graduated in 2007 in Exploration and Resource Geology from Cardiff University. He has worked with Oxus Gold plc in Uzbekistan and is a fluent Turkish speaker, having grown up in northern Cyprus. He works indirectly with our project geological teams and on other exploration programmes.  Francis is currently undertaking a part time PhD at the University of Cardiff and is focusing on the gold metallogenisis of western Turkey.
